Design and Experimental Evaluation of an In-Wheel Flux-Switching Machine for Light Vehicle Application

Restrictive regulations regarding emissions and fossil fuel consumption lead to the electric vehicle being an alternative replace conventional internal combustion engine vehicles. The pure powertrain technology charging infrastructure are still immature in some markets, where increasing overall efficiency by energy harvesting means can be a more viable solution. This paper presents design experimental validation of in-wheel flux-switching machine for regenerative braking light passenger vehicle. Later, used handling reforming, performance enhancement, efficiency, reducing emissions. Feasibility technological challenges also discussed. Maxwell–Fourier method novel steady-state equivalent circuit presented this geometry sensitivity analysis optimization routine.
